First Bath

Parker wasn't quite sure how he felt about the bath.  Poor little guy. Hopefully he will start to like it soon, because there is no way of escaping it. He sure looks pretty cute though!

Parker has to be put on the bilibed because his biliruben levels are too high. Which basically means that he has jaundice and the lights from this table make it better. It's really hard having him get upset and not being able to pick him up and comfort him. The only times we can take him off the bed is to feed him or change him. :(  I am grateful for the bed and yet I hate it. (he ended up being on the bed for five days and it was miserable)

2 Days Old

He is so small and adorable I just love him.  I love his dark hair and chubby cheeks.  He is perfect in every way.

Parker Eugene Russell

Parker was born at 3:11 AM on June 21, 2013. He came in weighing 7 lb 2 oz and only 18.5 inches long. This is our first family picture!  I can't contain the amount of love that I have for this little boy.

Family Home Depot

Remember that ugly dresser I bought last week?  It is slowly shifting to a not so ugly dresser.  Tyler and I went to home depot for home evening tonight to gather supplies to update the dresser. We got sandpaper, new knobs, and a sandpaper handle.  On our way back home we decided we needed ice cream, and so we stopped at U-Swirl. Mmmmm. It was such a small and simple errand, but it turned out be fun little date with Tyler.
I would like to say I helped with the dresser, but other than taking off the old knobs, I didn't do a thing. Because we weren't sure what kind of paint was used before, we decided it was a bad idea for me to sand it down, and to be extra cautious Tyler didn't want me painting either.  So, I sat on the grass I kinda kept Tyler company while he slaved away.  He sanded everything down, and will paint it all tomorrow. Yay!

Parker's 1st Shower

I have the best friends EVER! Jess and Amy threw me a baby shower, and it was absolutely adorable.  They did an amazing job, and it was so much fun.  A ton of my wonderful friends came and brought food and gifts for Parker.  We got a ton of wonderful presents to get ready for Parker. We played some fun baby shower games (none of the gross, smell the diaper ones), ate food, visited, and opened gifts.
I keep trying to think of a word to describe the amazing time that we had, and fun is the best description I've got.  All the same, I felt very happy and blessed for the friends that I have, and for the continued support they are to me.
