Friday Date

photo a day, project 365, photography, Friday Date Night

I spent five hours in the senior projects room today, and now have 96 pages completed. Woo that is a lot of work in case you didn't get that!
Tyler and I had a fun and simple date night tonight. We went to "The Chocolate", and then came back and watched a movie. It was great! :)

Absolutely Pathetic

photo a day, project 365, photography
I have seriously felt like a big unhealthy lazy bum in a little boat, and any second the boat is going to capsize and I am going to die! Okay, maybe not that extreme, but I have felt super out of shape. I haven't been active in forever, and it's been driving me crazy. So, Tyler and I decided we were going to start going to the track every other day, and start getting back into shape.
So, tonight was our first night on the routine, and OH my heavens, I am pathetic. I am really out of shape, and it's sad. It's a really good motivator to keep me going though.
So, wish me luck; hopefully my body will snap back quickly.

5 Months

photo a day, project 365, photography, boyfriend
Look how pretty they are. *Insert an awesome sentence that talks about how wonderful Tyler is without sounding cheesy/high schoolish* I mean, I could say I have the best boyfriend ever, but it's not just cause he bought me flowers, and I don't really know how to word it the right way... All the same Thanks Tyler!

Side note- I had the hardest time choosing which picture to pick today cause I love the whole thing. I picked this picture because it shows of the pink roses, and the lovely yellow and purple accents.

Spring

Spring is in the air; I can feel it! I love when things starting coming back to life in the spring. It puts you in a better mood. My toe nails are pink right now! I like being able to wear bright colors again because of seasons.... I know it's super girlie but I love the color pink!

Africa Africa Africa

Okay, today was one of those days that had nothing cool about it. I went to school, came home, and enjoyed my evening. That's it; nothing exciting at all. So, I decided I would take a picture of my wooden elephant I got in Africa to represent the several hours I spent on the book today.

Social Sunday

Our cute friends Kyle, and Britt invited, me and Tyler, and Garyn and Jill to have dinner to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. We had corned beef and cabbage, watched some basketball, and had some yummy dessert! Hooray for friends :)

Sewing Saturday

I bought this dress about two years ago and haven't had a chance to wear it because it has been too short. SO, today I finally sat down and lengthened the dress. I sewed a thick strip of lace to white ribbon, and then sewed that to the bottom of the dress. It is now the perfect length, and I love it! I am going to wear it tomorrow to celebrate the first day of spring!

Cool Window Follow Up.

Hi, I figured it out! It took me three hours to paint the different layers, but I love how it turned out. I didn't like the circles because I am OCD about random things, and this was one of them. The shapes needed to be uniform as well as the order of the colors. So, I created a map beforehand and spent the afternoon painting instead of working on much needed homework. This is what it looks like from the sidewalk. So, if you happen to be in Provo, and you see the coolest looking window. It's mine! My window rocks.... oh and remember how I said I liked having the blinds up so the sun could come through. Well, it's not really my favorite when It's my day to sleep in. I can't win..only kinda!

Heart Attack On A Plate

This is probably one of my all time favorite desserts! I have no idea what it's called but does it really matter? The bottom layer is brownies, already delicious. The second layer is marshmallow cream, also already delicious. The top layer is chocolate, peanut butter, and rice crispies, delicious (insert singing voices)! aaaghhhhhgghaaaa ... that's what this does to you! I was originally planning on making this for my sister and her family as well as take some to my friend for taking pictures, but haha I only half way followed through. I might just have to try again.

My Window

So, my bed is right by the window in my room, and not in a good way. Our apartment complex is right on the corner of a fairly busy street, and even better, my window is right above the parking garage. This is a bad thing... It's noisy, plain and simple. I hear the cars drive by, I hear random peoples music blaring from their cars (but not long enough to actually enjoy the song), and my personal favorite, tap dancing.
I don't know why but some one in my complex likes to practice tap dancing in the garage. This might be a good idea if I wasn't right above the garage and it didn't echo. Oh don't forget, I am not a morning person, at all; so, when I hear tapping early in the morning I start to get angry. The problem about getting angry is the fact that I love everyone in my complex, and so I don't want to be completely annoyed. hmmm problems.
Anyways, my window... because the window is right there when I sleep I HAVE to keep the blinds closed all the time for obvious reasons. This causes more problems. I wiggle a lot when I sleep and more often than not I wake myself up because I hit the blinds and they make noise. So, I have been trying to think of how to fix the predicament that I am in (at least the blinds part). I tried hanging posters in the windows but I missed the sun shining through. So, I did the next best thing; I painted swirls over the window instead. It would be too thick to see through, but it would still let light in.
So, this is what I got. I didn't do it right so I washed everything off and will try again soon. But hey I am getting close to perfection. Who knows, I might actually do the smart thing, take Tyler's advice, and put up my curtains. Hmmm... we'll see.
You didn't think you would get such a detailed story with such a simple picture did ya?

Africa Book.

School was pretty good today. I got some extra motivation to really work hard on marketing my photography company and am looking forward to making it successful. After class I spent 6 hours on my Africa book. I have like 53 pages done and I still have a long ways to go! I have two weeks to finish it! I am excited to finally see the finished product, and get a book printed for me!

Gavin Thomas

My NEPHEW turned fourteen today! That is just crazy to me! I thought I was so much older when I was fourteen.
Anyways, I love this boy (oh sorry "young man") . He is always smiling, and is a great part of our family. I hope he had a wonderful day.... I got some great smiling pictures of him earlier but A- this one is just funny, and B- the great smile ones had another cute nephew blocking a large part of the picture.

Sunday Stroga...

Tyler's parents were still in town today, and so we went spent the afternoon with them; it was a nice afternoon. We went to stake conference, and just spent the afternoon chatting at Tyler's apartment. Tyler's mom made stroga..that yummy stuff I can't spell. Anyways, before they left we took a picture! Here's the thing though...it's still on Tyler's camera. So, I will have to replace this picture later! ...don't you love my paint skills though?

Very Manly Afternoon!

Okay I promise I will TRY to stop taking pictures with my phone. But here's the thing. I don't want to miss out on life because I am behind a camera all the time. So, I didn't want to bring my camera out with me today. I wanted to just enjoy it.
Today was cool. Tyler's parents came into town last night and so we spent the day with them. Scary I know! ha ha just kidding it was a good day. We went to Tyler's work to get an idea of his daily life, and then we went to the cutest place ever (wow I sound girlie). Gardner's village up in Draper is girlie so it's allowed.
Anywho, we spent the afternoon looking through all the fun shops, and home decor stuff. I could spend a lot of money on that kind of stuff.
After we went shopping we came back watched the BYU game, and just relaxed. We went to The Riverwoods for dinner, and ate at La Jolla Groves. (Super yummy).
So, it was a good day. This picture is of some adorable bunnies I saw in a window. I had to take a picture for my sister Carillisa; she loves bunnies.ha ha funny reflections, but eh!
(sisters, or girlfriends- This place is calling our names for a girls day out!)

Forgotten Ambition

I used to have the strongest desire to sing and play the guitar. I remember watching my dad play and then my brothers. I still love to sing, and I always feel more comfortable if I am behind a guitar. Hmmm... I started to teach myself several times but I always hit a barrier that I never get past. If I dedicated my time to it I am sure I could be good at it, but I just never push for it.. I hope I can one day be really good, and play more than the same 10 songs!

View From My "Deck"

Not much to report today! The days are getting longer and I love it! The sun looked really pretty coming through the trees tonight! The end.

Today...

This is Tyler... He was my day today. We ended the day with getting ice cream at the place where we went on our first date. It was a wonderful evening, and I am now going to bed because I am exhausted.
Ignore the quality; it was taken with my phone.

Shpring!

The bushes and trees are budding. This makes my insides and my outsides happy! Spring is almost here. Happy day!--- I think I might actually survive this semester too. I got a bunch of stuff turned in today. Other than that, today was kinda just eh!

Monkeys

So, today was another one of those uneventful days. I spent the day in class, visited my family, and had FHE. I also got to babysit my adorable nephew Josh. I was going to take a picture of him for the day but then I realized that more than half my posts are of children. So, I decided I would do something else.
This is my monkey. DeAnna gave him to me for Christmas a few years ago, and I can't help but absolutely love it. Yes sure, thinking monkeys are cool is kinda weird right now, but hey I am allowed. I have liked monkeys pretty much forever. He is the stuffed animal that is on bed...( his eyes are too hard and big to actually sleep with him though). So, because I had an uneventful day you got to learn some random bit of information about me.

This is My Friend

I love napping, and this spot is the best! I took a nap here today, and I loved it. That leopard spotted blanket is super comfy. I also spend a lot of time studying here as well... As you can tell, today was pretty boring, but very good all the same.
Isn't this your favorite picture I have taken yet....it's up there with the big ugly brown building.

Bowl!

We got some friends together last night to go bowling! It was a lot of fun. There were just a few of us that went but it was fun all the same!
Also, my phone is acting really strange. Majority of the people I invited yesterday didn't get my texts till like 12-1 in the morning. So, by the time they were invited it just didn't work! stupid phone! It has also been turning on and off all day today!

Happy Birthday Kade!

This is my Nephew Kade- I did a fun photoshoot of him for his birthday today. I got some great shots of him. There are some really cute smiley pictures of him, but I love his eyes and the funny little blue steal thing he's got going on. Happy Birthday little man!

PS-- I didn't do a thing to his eyes. He has such dark eyes it reflected the light off and made them look this cool!

Scissors

Anna has short hair because she cut her hair a few months ago. Well, I went to visit my family today and as I was playing with Anna I noticed that part of her hair was significantly shorter. I thought maybe it was just from the time before, and I hadn't noticed. So, I asked Jon if she had done it again. As I asked Jon if she had cut her hair Anna went very quiet.
As it was, Jon was on babysitting duty while Becky was out, and was sure that there was no way it could have happened in the small amount of time that Becky had been gone. He had cornered all the kids into one area of the room to watch a movie.
After searching for scissors or hair remains Lauren pipes up, and tells us there were scissors by the couches.
Anna had found the scissors in the "blocked off, safe area", and cut several locks of hair off. There was blonde hair all over the place.
Today was one of the days that I am glad I am not her mother. Not because of her cutting her hair but because she is so stinkin cute (as you can clearly see in the first image); I would have the hardest time getting after her!

Babysitting

I have a bias towards my nieces and nephews. As you go through my blog I am sure you can tell that I love them because I already have several pictures of the adorable little ones. I just want to squeeze them (kinda like kittens and puppies)! Anyways, This is Libby and their cute new puppy; the puppy actually likes her. I babysat Betsy and Richards kids today, and will again tomorrow. Yep, it's been fun, and you should be jealous.

Busy?

Remember how I was talking about being busy. Yep, this is the closest thing I could get to a real picture today. I have been needing to work on homework all the time, and this is the wire frame for my Digital Design class. Hope I survive! Sorry for the lack of picture but hey, it's mid-terms!
